"BC2 Vietnam is a digital expansion that includes Vietnam-era weapons and vehicles playable on four new maps. Though pricing has not been announced, the amount of content announced and the "digital" label probably means this is most likely paid DLC. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam is due out this winter and will require a copy of the original game. The debut trailer can be viewed below."

Jack Thompson vs Medal of Honor

According to PCMag.com disbarred lawyer Jack Thompson is injecting himself into the controversy over the ability to play as the Taliban in the upcoming Medal of Honor, saying Thompson faxed a letter outlining his objections to the game to U.S. defense secretary Robert Gates. As far as is known, the defense secretary has no say in the matter, but Thompson implores him to act against the release of the game and to punish the military personnel that consulted on the game design, as well as Electronic Arts and the ESA.

"I'm not representing anyone as a lawyer, as I am not a lawyer," Thompson said. "I am speaking on behalf of a number of people who believe that EA should not be selling such a game to minors, particularly one that allows one to play the role of the Taliban. Beyond that, I am not presently authorized to identify anyone. That may change in a day or two. I intend to stop the release of the game."

hello all....well gropsy,we had at one time on our server 6 of them not very good players but they seem to pack up and visit sites and try (hackin) because they have not succeeded yet,and i mean yet.....we have a good back bone and attempts are being made with no enrty..haha..so i really do not "fear" this gropsy.....also,can someone explain...DYNAMIC IP.....where do you get this....and how much,NOT...i do not believe in that,do not need it......but i, we need this site here and it has helped me and i will keep and update thru posting.....later.:cool:

Hullo, I am in the Tiger tank. Just ahead of a smouldering other tank - that I trashed, with three houses ahead to my left, plus a tank, and an armoured car on the right. At this point I am at 12%. I move forward and am hit, and am told by someone that we "...can't take much more of this..." But I am totally buggered if I can see who or what is killing me. I have spent hours blasting the walls and the trees and the houses, but I still get stuffed as soon as I move down the path - 12% then 2% then dead. Pretty well pissed off by now. All my research into this simply goes into cheats and codes and other nerdy changing things and scripts and other irrelevant stuff - I just want to play the bloody game! I just want to know who or what is killing me and how I can kill them instead, and move on. I don't like cheats - pointless; you are just cheating against yourself -it's a game not reality.

Advice greatly appreciated, Bob.

Not that many people want to play this game anyway, but it just became a bit harder to grab a copy if you're living on base. GameStop deserves a pat on the back for the respect they've shown.

As such, GameStop agreed to have all marketing material pulled by noon today and to stop taking reservations. Customers who enter our AAFES stores and wish to reserve Medal of Honor can and should be directed to the nearest GameStop location off base. GameStop fully supports AAFES in this endeavor and is sensitive to the fact that in multiplayer mode one side will assume the role of Taliban fighter.

Hi,

after 2 days of searching problem i noticed that my 3rd person mod does'nt work because of the linux on server. :awcrap: And the question is there any 3rd person mods for linux users ? I have understood that mohaas does'nt have gamex86.dll but it's fgameded.so which have to be modded. If there is no working mod downloadable is it possible to modify .so -file? How about pak -files, is there same files than windows version so i could use my ready mod and mod the .so file ?

Treyarch has signed a deal with gameservers.com to be the "exclusive provider" of dedicated servers. This means the server files will not be made public, and players can only rent from this site. This is similar to EA's current system for BFBC2 and MOH. Links for server orders are on the gameserver.com forums here. In addition, Activision is currently "not planning" a beta for Black Ops. The game will also run on Steam, similar to Modern Warfare 2, which led to various complaints last year.
