1.1 Patch Contents

EALA has allowed us to release what will be fixed within the upcoming 1.1 patch. Heres what Ed Moore from EALA posted:

"Just to give MOH Team the heads up - here is a snippet of the readme that will be included with the 1.1 patch

============================================= =====================
PATCH CONTENTS
============================================= =====================

1. Mouse and Input Lag (single and multiplayer)

2. Dedicated Server CPU Utilization (multiplayer)

3. 999 Ping Bug (multiplayer)

4. Spawn Code Server Hitching (multiplayer)

5. Miscellaneous Single Player Bug Fixes

============================================= =====================
Addressing Mouse Lag
============================================= =====================

This patch improves the responsiveness of the renderer and greatly reduces
the time lag between user input (mouse movements, button clicks)
and the corresponding visual updates on-screen, and should result
in a much more responsive feel to the game as a whole. In
multiplayer games, the responsiveness is improved for all model
detail settings, but for performance reasons it only affects "medium"
and "high" model detail in single player games.

============================================= =====================
Dedicated Server CPU Utilization
============================================= =====================

win_dedicated_sleep

This cvar has a default value of 1, and will be saved to server.cfg
whenever it is changed. The cvar specifies the number of milliseconds
that a dedicated server will completely relinquish
control to the operating system each frame. Increasing the value of the cvar
effectively reduces the CPU utilization of a MOH:PA dedicated server process.
Increase this cvar if you are running multiple instances of dedicated servers
or other necessary processes on your CPU. Set this cvar to 0 if you want an
instance of the MOH:PA dedicated server to use the CPU whenever it is available
(100% utilization). A value of 0 can result in a slight performance increase,
especially on low spec machines with several connected users. Increasing this
cvar can result in a performance decrease. You may change this cvar at runtime
or at the command line; we recommend a range of 0 to 10 (integer only).

============================="
I have tested the responsiveness and it seems greatly improved.

If you have a quicker computer, you do not notice much mouse lag. But I did notice it with a slower comp. This is pretty funny. The game has only been released in Directors cut and not a regular release and there's a patch already. lol I am glad to see that they are doing what they can though to fix those probs. As long as they don't just stop after a 1.11 release. :shake: Well that is, if there is stuff that needs patching after that. Will this patch be automatically placed in the world release and is this only for the directors cut edition? What about the modding tools? They going to release them with this?

Patches will be released for both the regular and director's edition version of the game.

The mod tools will not be part of this patch. They will be a seperate download, which will hopefully be coming sooner than later.

First time i read something about the mouse-lagg thing...
I also have the lagg and its freaking irritating...

But if i read reimer21's post, the lagg is only effecting low-end pc's ??
Well... the problem is i have a high-end pc... (amd64,1GB,FX5700)

I hope its a bug in the demo, cause else i think i have a problem somewhere in my pc :sick:
Anymore info about this mouse-lagg ?

The mouse lag has to do with the mouse moving to fast for the frames to be rendered. The patch will indeed fix this.

Patches will be released for both versions of the game if there's an issue in both versions. They aren't going to patch one...and not the other.

no, as Pruitt said it will be released for both the DE and the regular. There is no technical difference between the DE and the regular so there is no need to build seperate patches.
EDIT; alright there's always someone posting faster :look:

Just tested the patch for MOHTeam and it really is an improvement, gameplay is much better. You can wonder why they didn't wait for the release of the game after they found these solutions, it's all about marketing and getting your game on the market asap eh :winkers:

I read it like for one version AND another one for the other. Sorry.
Bresso, I got a pretty quick draw comp and I could notice a difference between a slower one. The slower one being a 3200 XP 5900 ultra.

how would u decribe a high-end pc then ??
important for a good game is that it runs relatively smooth on medium pc's.

only thing to do now is purchase the game... and hope for the best

TKO were verry good at preventing map abuse bugs in Breakthrough, It seems the same is true of pa. There don't seem to be any level mp map fixes on the list.:zzohyah:

Not within this patch. Items that are being patched are prioritized.
