I've started working on my case mod now that most of the parts have arrived. I'm still waiting on the second radiator and a few small things like lights and stuff to show up. I'm going to sticky this so I can get input from you guys on how to do some things - sort of a community case mod. So if you got a cool idea as this progresses, post it up.

    Small list of parts:
    6800 Ultra Extreme Edition
    550w Antec power supply
    1 - 120mm and 1 - 90mm Black Ice Radiators
Gigabyte GA-8KNXP mobo ( may change as this one might not work )
    P4 2.4g Prescott
Currently 1 gig pc3200 ram ( will probably get a 2 gig matched pair when I can afford it )
    $125 worth of FluidXP+
    5" Audeocam mini-monitor ( wtf is that for???? - you'll see! )
Dozen odd fans of all sizes
Lights and other goodies on the way so will post them up as I use them

Here's a quick pic of some of the things laid out on my modified dinner table - aka work bench. ( no comments about the fluffy dragons in the background - I've got dragon stuff laying all over my house  )

A lot of this stuff I got from Rudedog - so I want to say thanks because this mod wouldn't be possible as quickly without his help.

You probably didn't notice the hand blown glass dragon I'm using those beanies to protect. Or the hand made purple dragon in there as well.

BTW I've got a 5 foot tall stuffed dragon in the closet too...

Overnight 'wet' test. And looky that 5 inch monitor makes an appearance.

And with that, my first question to you guys - My thoughts are a blue interior with a metallic red outside. I plan to dye the water blue and use blue uv and blue cathodes in the case. Got a better idea?

Was it my imagination, or was that condensation on those hoses ?

Will do. I don't want this to be just a watch what cyborg is doing to his case thread - I really want everyones ideas to make something really unique.

I've got the imagination of a broom handle so my input would be worthless, but i can Google pretty good, you mentioned dying your water, found this UV dye here http://www.crazypc.com/products/cooling/reservoirs.htm#additives

pretty cool site it was on different things for custom cases/pc builds. http://www.crazypc.com

myself,i just like watching the project come together from start to finish, guess thats why i'm a home improvement T.V show junkie.

Just saw this http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=8177 on that site, thought it was pretty funny since you had an ashtray sitting next to your PC in the picture.

as with everything in life, a once straight forward plan got a corkscrew shoved into it. This mod is still alive, but its going to go at a slower pace for a little while until I get some hardware decisions made. So till then I'm going to be working on the physical case itself and design issues.

First up I'm working on some images for etching into the plastic windows I plan on putting on the case. So far I'm planning 2 large windows and probably 1-2 smaller ones depending on where the water cooling radiators will be mounted ( 1-120mm 2-90mm radiators ).

small update, ordered in the mobo, cpu and ram. Asus A8N sli Deluxe, Athlon 64 3200+ Venice, and 2 gigs of Corsair ram. With this I can now start mocking up the box a bit better. I'll start cutting this weekend and will post some pics as I go along.
