Doom4 Screens

    Something completely different than what I was expecting. There's actually enough light to see and it doesn't look like space plays a role here. Check out the rest of the screens for the next installment of Doom. The game is in fact still being developed by id Software and will use their latest game engine, the id Tech 5. Expect to see the title on the PC, XBox and Playstation platform. Release date not known yet. Also worth mentioning is that John Carmack is still on board with id Software, so keep those expectations high.

    I didnt know they were working on Doom4, or cancelled as it says. Screenies kinda look like Rage meets Silent Hill. Too bad, I really liked the Doom series..I actually never finished Doom3

    Yeah I've been following this too.

    Those screens look amazing, but then are they real? The rumour (yes, there is a U in that word :p ) is that the screens aren't what the final game will look like.

    According to id design director Matthew Hooper: “Those images have nothing to do with what you’re gonna see in Doom 4.”
    “When we officially show things, you’ll see awesome,” he says. “When we officially show things, fans will be happy.”

    Irregardless, (Family Guy reference there) I'd like to try it.

    I dunno maybe its only me, but to me many of those newer fps games (mw2,mw3, new moh, bf3, rage, etc. etc.) looking the same

    if those screens aren't related to the game somebody went through a lot of trouble doing some awesome work. anyways, lets hope the game gets here soon enough and it's good and quite different from the junk most devs have been putting out.
