How To Align Weapon Model Before Export

    Im trying to create new weapon models to cod1, using original anims. I take the example of the viewmodel_bar.xmodel_export provided by Activision. This model comes with base skeleton of weapon (without torso skeleton). I aligned and replaced the bar meshes by my kar 98, renamed the bones "bar", "bar_bolt" by "kar98" and "kar98_bolt". Then i exported the model and converted with the asset manager, but the weapon appears unaligned in game (rotated of 90° and out of the field of view). This orientation varies between the desired weapon model (springfield shows different location etc). However the skins are attached correcty to the right bones. How could i find the correct alignment of the model into 3dsmax, or lightray, or milkshape... ? Same problem to align ironsights.
