I've got no problem with that admission. None of the other MOH's have had prone, have they? On second thought, maybe PA did - don't remember and if so it didn't help it much anyway.
Yeah, this was very disappointing back in November when we were told this at the EALA Community Summit. On the other hand I haven't seen much games which had prone implemented the way it should be: right...
yes PA has prone, and no it doesnt help. sure its ok if your just camping somewhere, or need to hide durring a reload, but other than that, its worthless.
Personally I could careless. However, I think in general it is a bad move because this is a game feature people expect these days. AA doesn't have bash either, but could you imagine if you couldn't bash in Airborne?
I have to say... Sweet! :beerbang: Imo prone just helps campers and causes problems with animations (clipping into non flat terrain, or floating off the edge of stuff).
I play games with prone, I just don't think it adds much, especially in faster paced games, as it has the effect of slowing down the gameplay.
I cut my teeth on moh but try most fps's (I can afford) - espec WWII I just get frustrated by the 'I only play xxxx genre/ franchise' After all we would all be reliant on windoze if folk didnt venture Linux - as one example.
No prone. Hmm weird. Prone was one of the panaceas of MOH. I just thought i was something sure like Ironsights. Not that I care much really. Oh, well, it might be moddeable. PS. Kaltiman, you knew it by then ? I am still trying to figure out what was the porpose of the summit. ..Anyway, I am looking forward for a Mod day.
i think prone would be a bad idea in ab cause in bf2 all thay do is drop to prone fire 3 rounds and you die even before you can get one round off so i will be looking into mohab just cause there will be no prone prone makes the game suck one pluss mohaa has NO PRONE DIVERS and BUNNY HOPPERS
Praise be the developers. Good job BlackHat. Sole reason I went back to MOHAA after beating COD1 was the prone campers in cod multiplayer.
In my opinion it really doesn't matter to me prone or not, though in BF 1942, and COD prone has saved my butt more than a few times, diving behind cover to reload/relocate.
If there is slight cover, yes, it can make a difference. Tell me, how many times has prone saved you ass in battle field 2 from being attackted from above? Countless... Now that was a thumbs down.
Woohoo! Prone was never an element in MOH - it just does not suit the gameplay that MOH promotes. I read someone say that AA didn't have bash, and imagine subsequent versions without it. I have to agree with that - however that's because bashing doesn't promote camping, nor does it largely affect the gameplay. Good news! Hopefully gameplay won't be as different as I fear.
