MOH:AA No Recoil Hack Fix

    Hiya

    ive updated trinitys last upload slightly. i hope no-one minds.

    incorperated in the fix was the antishark fix using the mike legs

    ive changed this to use the mike torso instead as suggested by lamron

    the mike legs mod makes it so you cannot crouch after jumping which makes some jumps more difficult

    Sorry just saw this. Not sure what you are after exactly. I have some files that had something to do with recoil:

    ¤_Recoil_¤
    ¤_Recoil_AA_v1.1
    ¤_Recoil_AA_v4
    ¤_Recoil_AA_v5 (has state edits)

    That may be just what I was naming them, not sure .... looks like something to do with Sorrid.

    Sorry, Im not the best at this, but do I need to run some .scr file from dmprecache or just place it in mainta and start up the server?

    make sure it saves as a .pk3 file in the mainta directory for spearhead or the maintt directory for breakthrough.

    Hi all
    I’m interested in the No recoil fix but I want to know which is the best version to use?
    Also on my server I use MPSH 3.0, would any of the no recoils conflict with it?

    Thanks for any advice.

    We use MPSH 3 too and when I installed it on our spearhead server we had some too massive feedbacks on some weapons like M1. The recoil itself was fine, but the visual recoil was unplayable... Not sure wether theres a fix for it

    The best version is in the 1st post on the 1st page of this topic. This uses a edited state file so if your state file is also edited add the changes to it.





    Look in the models folder and open all the .nrc files and at the bottom and lower the all viewkick values.

    Thanks for the reply but I must admit I’m a newbie with this kind of thing, I had a look in the file it self but I’m unsure what to change of how to go about it, can you give some more advice to me, or if someone has already done it for the MPSH 3.0 mod I’ll be grateful. (lazy of me I know) LoOoL
    Also it is a Spearhead server I have.

    Ahh ok,

    lets say I open the m1Garand and look for viewkick I find this:
    and this:

    In the reccoil-fix, I find this:

    So I take the stuff from the mpsh over the fix and that for all weapons, if I see that right.

    Here is the sh recoil fix That Trinity has done use this one. Lower the values in this section of all the .nrc files.

    Ok, done that...

    When I tried to check it out, it fell kinda strange, but when I compared with and without the no_recoil_fix, it seems to work.

    Would be nice if you could test it too.

    The mike_torso file execs the mod within the states for weapons. I do not have a server for spearhead so I can not test it for you. If you have another mod that uses a custom state file then this will conflict.

    hmm, the Garand recenter very very slow and if you shoot very fast, it recenters even incorrect:

    this is what I gathered from the mpsh file:

    And this what I entered in the recoil-fix:

    That recenter speed looks a little low to me, but thats whats in the realism file?!?

    Any clues?

    sorry for another post, but it seems I cant edit my posts...

    I raised the recenterspeed at all weapons again and it now feels much more like MPSH 3.0...
    So this should be the actual working version.

    I read the last 8 pages and couldnt find anything, but every now an than we get this debug message:

    And I guess with Console Spam isnt dealt with?

    Just to say, some awesome work. Good to see some people still do stuff for the community. I tested it yesterday on a full server and it works great :)
