Just modify the values in the file. You can increase the values to make it recoil more or decrease values to lessen the recoil.
A little odd maybe... But I was thinking about this fix the other night. I remember there being a bug when using snipers (namely you could still see weapon) I thought of a possible solution in that you catch the secondary fire event then spawn a camera at weapon muzzle and make player use it then zoom from there. I have no idea if this would work but worth a shot.

Dude, no need to apologize. You have a great history on these forums and have shared a lot of knowledge and great posts and mods with us. Trust me, we all appreciate what you've done. Growing up doesn't have to mean it has to take away all the fun from feeling a bit like a kid again, though I've gone through a lot over the years myself so I can definitely relate to what you're saying. Good seeing familiar faces around here though. Wonder what Scorpio Midget, Hal and a few of the others are up to these days... With regards to the no recoil, I know that you said jv_maps version was better, but you started the ball rolling so I you get props for that. The reborn patch now has this same concept implemented as well. Only difference is since it's implemented directly in the engine, it's not as glitchy.
