In a nutshell, I have custom avatars I want to make for my clan, the images are correct(as for size and resolution) but when I enter the game the avatar is square instead of circular (I can not get rid of the black corners around the main image).

The stock avatar in the game has black corners around the circular image but they do not show up in-game; how do I get mine to do the same? Is there some specialized Image editing program I need?

I know the question is pretty vague, but I've never attempted anything like this before and I'm not sure what to ask....

Stock avatar? Are you talking about a player skin?..

I'm referring to the little symbol above a players head that indicates whether they are axis or allies.

ah, gotcha..you have to highlight the image, like the lasso tool, or select. color range whatever with whatever photoshop program you use, save as tga. forget the size for the team avatars..have to look that up in pk3

I understand the highlight with the lasso; but what do you mean by color range?

I don't know what color range is... I have zoner studio, its not quite as advanced as photoshop and uses different wording a lot of the time. I've looked for color range or something like it on mine but even if I found it I wouldn't know how use it to separate the background.

wow, how'd you do that?? lol. I tried so many different transparencies and eraser methods, layers and color shifts; and nothing worked. I guess it's time I bought photoshop.

Thanks for your time and your help. "I owe you one".
