terrain tutorial

    Do you have any idea how many faces easygen will generate? Prado2 has 2500 with brushes. I tried the same gray scale image in easygen and got 56,000. Use it wisely in small sections seperated by brushes.

    I wouldn't say it isn't useful under some circumstances, but I've never been able to spare the face count it creates. Even in small sections, I can find a more economical way.

    methink we lack tutorials or even posts of an informative nature.
    why make some tutorials to share.
    i am but mine will be in the "mapping for idiots" section.

    When I get a chance I'll try and review the properties of brushes, LOD terrain and patch meshes, so people can get a better idea of how they work in terrain.

    all you have to do is select all those small brushe, (bit of a challange, but radiant has a select all from texture option) then deseaclt the faces that are seen, then cualk whats left
