gotta tell you, I recently loaded the game to play and found there were fewer to join. didn't see any of the old ones I used to play on. the anti cheat software has taken it's toll. Rather play on a skin hack server than on a pure server or rifle only server. have more fun/more people show up. nocheat kinda took the fun out of the game. I like shotguns ( properly modded ) and i like bazookas ( no ammo runout ). nobody runs servers like that. kinda miss the fun. that's what it was about. puritans suck/simple as that.
i still own 3 server , started in 2004 as a noobie , and still play today but must say i agree with neilomax , most of the old ones are gone. i mod my servers to the best ability i can , to keep everyone happy , but now these days , youngsters just want to blast theyr way thrue the battle fields and cheat and curse theyr butts of.
BTW , i still own the oldest and longest running demo server in the game. PS: and i'm proud of it , to have it running since 2004
another thing that irked me last time i played............. someone force downloaded another custom config to my mohaa folder. stop already.

Well I played mohaa for a while, but spearhead is much better really, I know there are alot of cheats, but who doesn't want a challenge? just play in a well administrated server, and that's it.
Same here like neillomax, AA looks very different than SH but when BT came i jumped to BT but then BT died so i came back to SH Will try to get myself a BT server soon, and just wondering which version should i get 2.30 or 2.40? seems like most ppl still use 2.30..
I stopped playing BT when the group I was with shut the server down after 6+ years. I chatted with TWL_Viper last night and he says he still plays SH daily. Too busy tanking these days ....
I'm in a clan that's only been around for four years (ClanBRATS), but they broke off of a clan that had been around for two years before them (The Resurrection Clan), and that clan had split from another clan that had been around since 2002 (Clan HellzFire).. So the same group of people really have been playing this game since it came out. We play customs every Wednesday, from about 6-9pm EST, then on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-9pm EST off and on.. The server we play on is 74.91.119.152:12203. We normally have 15-20 players in customs the majority of the day. We also run a rifle/sniper freeze tag server, sometimes I mix the gametypes up a bit.. 74.91.119.151:12203. We play Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday in that server from about 6-9pm EST. Sometimes later.. We normally have 20 players in that server on a good night. If anybody wants to stop by sometime, join us on teamspeak - ts.clanbrats.org is the address, warfare is the password. I don't have anyone to play with any more. I still like to fire up some of my ridiculous maps and mods just for grins, though. My reflexes and co-ordination really suck, though.
hey! the balr14 has spoken nice to see you around. Oh well, i dont play much lately. I havent played much in the last hmm 4 years, where i focused more on modding than playing moh, with the exception of last year, where i played very often in a couple of moh servers, which had some interesting mods and sometimes stock or barely modded ones, so i liked them. I dont play much now, (Actually i havent played this year i think) and even less now in summer, i dont even have time for it.
with your reflexes and coordination and my eyesight it aught to be interesting ... LOL Blair, any tutorials out there on how to use the oddball things in the "common" texture file ?... and how to get the stuff to work. and I've been looking at some old Quake tutorials... most of which the links don't work anymore ) trying to get some of the triggers and stuff to work.......... got the "quake" jump to work well but the tutorial didn't match up to what Mohaa radiant way of doing things................... and how do you get the water drop to work ? and there tons of other stuff in radiant without knowledge to use them ............ and I know some stuff you have to script to get to work after adding to the .map but still, no adequate tutorials. any ideas "old guru" ? thanks, and good to see you checking in.
